KIA RIO Problems – 2014 Kia Rio 1.4 CRDI 5dr Diesel

KIA RIO PROBLEMS After 1 Year of Ownership – 2014 Kia Rio 1.4 CRDI 5dr Diesel

Looking for a new or used car can be an uphill struggle.  You have a plethora of cars to choose from with differing running costs and levels of reliability.  Once you have chosen the model of car you are after and the type of engine that you are happy to run with then the next thing you want to know is what to look out for when buying your chosen model of car and if there are any issues.

Well if the car you are looking at is a third-generation 2011 – 2016 Kia Rio then believe it or not we can help!

In the video above we talk about some of the issues that we have faced with our 2014 Kia Rio 1.4 CRDI 5dr Diesel car after one year of ownership.

The problems covered in the video range from a slipping clutch through to the folding mirrors not working and the list goes on.  Luckily a lot of the issues were covered by Kia’s warranty but we talk you through what we have experienced with taking the car in for repair to one of Kia’s main dealerships in the North East of England and mention how we were treated.

As an update to the video, we still have the car and it is a great car to own!  Saying that we still experience the odd issue with the car’s engine starting on a cold day and being a little lumpy when it does eventually start which hopefully we will get to the bottom of it very soon.

Hope the video helps!
