Turtle Beach 70 Gaming Headset Review, a great budget headset with one caveat!
If you are into gaming, especially playing battle royal games like Warzone, PubG and Fortnite then audio is super important when you are after that competitive edge. What is also crucial when playing games like these is also being able to talk to your fellow players who could be your friends or even random people dotted around the world.
So saying the above, purchasing a good headset that can offer good audio, for hearing footsteps and gunfire, and offering a good quality microphone is an essential accompaniment to any gaming setup. Headsets that offer these crucial gaming features can range from a super budget £10 all the way into the £100s and come in all sorts of wired and wireless guises.
Well with the above in mind we take a look at a gaming headset, in the video review above, from a well-known gaming brand that is Turtle Beach. With a budget in hand of £30, we picked out the Turtle Beach 70 range of headphones to feature in this video review. The reason being that we have used Turtle Beach headsets over the years and while the ones we have used were around the £20 mark, being the Turtle Beach 50s, we wanted a headset that had a fixed microphone and also didn’t suffer from reliability issues that we had experienced with the Turtle Beach 50s.
So in this video review, we take a look at the Turtle Beach 70 and see what it is like to wear, the quality of the headset in terms of build, audio and microphone. Plus we talk about any issues that we have experienced while owning this range of headsets. Spoiler here, we do own 3 sets of these so we think you make get the gist of this review.
